Biography

From correlated electrons
to quantum control.

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at City University of Hong Kong, where I lead the Quantum Theory Group.

I received my B.S. in Physics from Peking University in 2005 and my Ph.D. from Columbia University in 2010. My doctoral work focused on numerical methods for strongly correlated materials and quantum dots. I was a Research Associate at the University of Maryland, College Park from 2010 to 2015, before joining CityUHK.

My research connects spin-based quantum computing, robust control, quantum learning, quantum devices and many-body physics. I also work on physics education, including immersive and AI-supported learning.
